The Arkansas Rural & Volunteer Firefighters Association recognizes those who pay the utmost cost for their unfailing dedication to protect life and property by including their names on the Memorial Wall.
ARVFA also honors members for exemplary service to the association with the Prater Award, named for Charter member and former ARVFA President Lloyd Prater. The Rising Star Award for Community support of fire protection/prevention programs and the Volunteer Service Award for exemplary volunteer work in fire protection/prevention programs are also awarded annually.
Congratulations to City of Coal Hill Fire Department on getting a grant to upgrade new with improving their department with two apparatus'. Funding was granted through the USDA Rural Development for a Brush Truck and Pumper apparatus.
